 A 5.0mm Astratech titanium implant was surgically placed into the mandible to replace a missing left first molar. Custom-made abutment was then constructed to fit over the implant fixture. (implant surgery performed by Dr. Rick K. Yamada, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, La Jolla, California)  Post-op photo: A metal-ceramic crown was fabricated and cemented onto the abutment.
