Detecting caries made easy.... D-Carie is a pen-sized device designed to diagnose even the tiniest caries often missed by traditional methods. It is safe and effective. Utilizing an advanced algorithm, its non-invasive LED probe will accurately detect both occlusal (biting surface) and interproximal (area in between teeth) caries. In the presence of any decalcification/decay, the unit's audible and visual signals will assist us in pinpointing its location and assessing its size. According to a recent study performed by the University of Montreal, D-carie detects more than 92% of occlusal caries. This represents nearly twice the rate obtained through x-ray and visual examination.
